In my master's thesis, together with my fellow student Michel Lörz, I analysed the historical interweaving of music with new technologies. Virtual reality (VR) in particular opens up new perspectives for the consumption and perception of music by enabling a unique synergy between sound, image and space in an interactive context. Based on the findings, a virtual reality sound installation was developed that offers a multi-sensory and immersive experience and is intended to investigate technical solutions. The new format creates a heightened awareness of the senses, conveys educational content in an entertaining way and illustrates the diversity of music and sound. A group of artists was formed to realise the format, producing both the visual and audio content. The work was realised using Unreal Engine.
