A VR configurator for the Acylone supercar for the manufacturer Genty for use at trade fairs.
Since the production of an Acylone only takes place on request and the configuration varies greatly depending on the customer, real trade fair models are not always meaningful and often involve a high logistical effort. A virtual showcase was designed and realised as a solution to this problem. The car model was prepared from the original CAD data for the real-time application. I was responsible for the logic via blueprints as well as the lighting and shading of the vehicle and the environments in Unreal Engine 5.3. The challenge was to maximise the visual and auditory quality while maintaining sufficiently high performance on portable hardware. This made it possible, for example, to use ray tracing via DLSS 3.0 without having to accept fatal effects on the frame rate.
